Louis Roederer's "Cristal" Brut Rosé Champagne is produced by one of the legendary Champagne Houses, operating in Reims since 1776. Its fame is linked to the name of its most famous label, Cristal, created specifically in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia. The Rosé version was created exactly one hundred years later, to celebrate the label's birth and enrich the range with another bottle of absolute excellence, now part of the exclusive circle of great Champagnes known throughout the world.
Louis Roederer's Rosé Brut "Cristal" is a Champagne of great expressive purity. The cuvée was created from a careful selection of old Pinot Noir parcels in the Grand Cru d'Aÿ area, all of which are now managed biodynamically. The calcareous soils, with a high percentage of chalk, give the grapes a unique finesse and elegance, combined with a clear mineral freshness. The blend is composed of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vins clairs, approximately 17% vinified in oak barrels. A further 16% of the base wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, which slightly softens the wine's profile. The secondary fermentation and secondary fermentation take place in the bottle according to the Methode Champenoise, and the Champagne ages sur lattes for a full eight years before disgorgement.
Champagne "Cristal" Rosé is a true standout in its category. It is a high-end label, dedicated to true connoisseurs and lovers of luxury. The color is a pale pink with bright, sparkling reflections. The perlage is very fine and delicate. The nose is refined, with floral aromas, citrus notes, wild berries, notes of pastry, dried fruit, delicate hints of soft oriental spices, and hints of iodine and minerality. The palate is beautifully harmonious, elegant and velvety, with extremely delicate aromas and a remarkable persistence, which extends to a fresh finish with a refined, chalky minerality.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Cristal Rosé Brut displays a brilliant pink color, enhanced by golden highlights that accentuate its luminosity and finesse. The fine, persistent bubbles dance elegantly in the glass, creating a perlage that promises freshness and a unique sensory experience. On the nose, the bouquet opens with fresh notes of red fruits such as strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, which blend harmoniously with delicate nuances of citrus, rose blossom, and a touch of brioche that develops over time. Maturation on the lees helps intensify the hazelnut nuances and a light minerality that enriches the aromatic profile.
On the palate, the Cristal Rosé Brut reveals extraordinary balance. The initial freshness blends perfectly with a creamy smoothness that glides pleasantly across the tongue. The structure of the wine, provided primarily by the Pinot Noir, is firm yet well-balanced, with a rich and enveloping body that gives way to notes of red fruit and a subtle minerality. The finish is long and refined, with an elegant persistence that invites another sip.
Pairings
This rosé Champagne is the perfect companion for refined and sophisticated dishes. It's ideal as an aperitif, enjoyed with fresh oysters, caviar, or foie gras canapés. It pairs beautifully with seafood dishes, such as lobster, scampi, or high-quality sushi, which bring out its freshness and delicacy. Its structure and complexity also make it perfect with white meats, such as roast chicken with aromatic herbs or duck breast, as well as with soft, creamy cheeses, such as Brie or Camembert. For a more daring pairing, try it with truffle-based dishes, risottos, or preparations using delicate yet flavorful ingredients.
