Tasca d'Almerita's Tenuta Sallier de la Tour Syrah is a Sicilian red wine with deep territorial roots, fully expressing the typical characteristics of this grape variety in Sicily.
Produced in the fertile lands of the County of Sclafani, the wine ages in oak barrels to refine its complexity and roundness, achieving a perfect harmony between soft tannins and balanced acidity. Cellar - Tasca d'Almerita
Tasca d'Almerita is one of the most historic and renowned Sicilian wineries, with a winemaking tradition dating back to 1830. The company was founded on the Tenuta Regaleali estate, a vast property of approximately 600 hectares in the heart of Sicily. Thanks to the unique microclimate and diverse soils, Tasca d'Almerita has developed an innovative winemaking approach that blends tradition and experimentation. The winery is now renowned for producing wines that celebrate the authenticity of the terroir, thanks to the cultivation of native varietals such as Nero d'Avola, Catarratto, and Inzolia, as well as international varieties well-suited to the local terroir.
Tasca d'Almerita's philosophy extends beyond Tenuta Regaleali to include four other estates, each with a strong territorial identity. Tenuta Capofaro, on the Aeolian Islands, stands out for its production of Malvasia delle Lipari; Tenuta Tascante, on Mount Etna, is known for its wines made from Nerello Mascalese; Tenuta Whitaker, on Mozia, is dedicated to cultivating Grillo; and finally, Tenuta Sallier de la Tour in Monreale, focuses on Syrah and other native varieties.
In line with its commitment to sustainability, Tasca d'Almerita is a promoter of the SOStain program, which promotes responsible agricultural practices and environmental preservation. This commitment has led the winery to receive sustainability certification, strengthening the company's reputation as a leader in winemaking with respect for the Sicilian terroir. Tasca d'Almerita wines are appreciated not only for their excellent quality but also for their ability to reflect the authentic character of Sicily.
