Tasting Notes

This Trebbiano displays a bright straw yellow color, enriched with greenish highlights. On the nose, it releases an aromatic bouquet of ripe fruit, such as cooked nectarine and lemon, accompanied by floral notes of jasmine and thyme, and a delicate hint of honey. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a soft structure and a lively acidity that lends freshness and length to the finish. The light savory and minerality recall the Abruzzo terroir, making this wine balanced and harmonious.

Pairings

Emidio Pepe's Trebbiano d'Abruzzo 2020 pairs perfectly with seafood dishes, such as seafood risotto, spaghetti with clams, or grilled fish. It's also ideal with seafood appetizers, fresh salads, and fresh cheeses. Its versatility makes it suitable for a variety of culinary occasions.

Cellar - Emidio Pepe

Emidio Pepe is a historic winery located in Torano Nuovo, in the province of Teramo, in the heart of Abruzzo. Founded in 1964 by Emidio Pepe, the winery is now managed by his daughter Daniela and son-in-law Stefano Di Properzio. The production philosophy is based on traditional and biodynamic methods, aiming to best express the character of the terroir. The vineyards extend across clay and limestone soils, at an altitude of approximately 400 meters above sea level, benefiting from an ideal climate for viticulture. The winery is renowned for producing high-quality white and red wines, including Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, and Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo. Emidio Pepe wines are known for their longevity and aging potential, thanks to the use of select grapes and a winemaking process that respects tradition and the environment.
